Google “Slap” and Wordpress “Whack”

The network marketing industry is getting it from all sides recently. Google is shutting down many accounts that are targeting “opportunity sites” and slapping the owner by shutting down their accounts. It now looks like WordPress is getting into the game and “Whacking” or shutting down sites that do the same. The Wordpress “Whack” puts the Network Marketing industry in the same category as the affiliate industry. Wordpress defines network marketing as the same as affiliate marketing:

“Affiliate marketing blogs: Blogs with the primary purpose of driving traffic to affiliate programs and get-rich-quick schemes (”Make six figures from home!!”, “20 easy steps to top profits!!”, etc). This includes multi-level marketing (MLM) blogs and pyramid schemes. To be clear, people writing their own original book, movie or game reviews and linking them to Amazon, or people linking to their own products on Etsy do NOT fall into this category.”

Seems this trouble on the net is focused more on the “affiliate sites” more than the Network Marketing industry per se, but Google and Wordpress lump them both together. Very sad and
troubling for network marketers because these two business models are very different.

Ok so what do you do if you are in the Network Marketing or MLM business and you have a Wordpress Blog and don’t want to get “Whacked?”

First, you will not have to worry if you are hosting your own blog as this only pertains to the free Wordpress accounts. Consider hosting your own site.

Second, if your posts and site is heavy with company promotion and not quality content you are setting yourself up for trouble.

Third, make sure you save all your content as Wordpress comes without warning.

and Fourth, I say speak up to Google and Wordpress. These companies need to exclude and change their definitions of the Network Marketing and MLM industries from their cureent definition.

I want you to take a experiment with me. Very simple but I think very powerful. Ok? Now close your eyes and imagine a square with a golden triangle perfectly centered in it. I want you to now think of that same golden triangle perfectly centered inside a square and this time I want you to see how long it takes other other thoughts, emotions, other images,sounds or feelings to creep into your into your mind and change your concentration. I know you are already finished because if you are really doing the experiment it took about three seconds.

Three seconds!!!!!!!!!

The human mind has a hard time staying focused. It is why we fail at diets, projects and more importantly our businesses. See, I believe it is about prioritization and not about concentration or dedication. It is why we have to always see our target clearly and most importantly we have to have our mind’s eye always seeing our target. This is where the subconscious has to be brought into the picture.

Easy tricks to help you prioritize.

1. Make your goal truly pleasing to you.
i.e “I’ve got to lose weight” is not a very pleasing or high priority target. A much better target: I am going to lose 15 pounds by March 15th and I will be pleased with my weight and will be able to play longer with my child.

2. Now imagine yourself with the smaller body and full of energy not having to stop running with your child.

3. Remember the experiment? Do 1 and 2 and notice how you feel and if you can truly feel inspired and excited you have got it. Now practice daily. If not then the subconscious is not engaged. Is your goal too difficult? or can you not see your vision? You will have to modify until you engage.

This method has allowed me to change many aspects in my life and I know it can help yours. Use this in your business and begin to see the results take off. “The mind can do what the mind can see!

We have read all the books and watched all the videos and nothing has happened. It’s time to look in the mirror and see if we have awakened from our dream state. When one begins to see that the work needs to happen our old self begins to kick in. Our old habits are the “dream killers” in our minds.

Does this sound familiar?

I will go for bite to eat and then get to my task.

I will take this call.

The power of action or as Tony Robbins says “Massive Action” is RIGHT NOW. When you think of it do it. Do not wait! Waiting is a dream killer. Now go take a look in the mirror and see who you see!
