I am writing this article to begin on a quest for more personal and spiritual growth. With the economy in such a bad state and the job market looking like it is going to implode I believe there is no better time to roll up my sleeves and get to work on myself. I believe one needs to grow personally before he can help others begin to grow. Because growth comes in many forms, I have chosen to focus on exploring  my spiritual, economic and physical growth areas and how each can improve and how they all work together to create one purpose. Yes, the purpose is to better oneself but I am doing this not only to better myself but to hold myself accountable along the way. It is my vision that when you see me complete this task that a certain force comes with it. That force exerts itself on others and changes people for the good. If I can help just one person in this quest it will be a success.

Leadership – The Art Of Being one of the 3%

As parents, coaches, and business owners, we must develop and posses leadership qualities if we want our children, team members and business to succeed. Whether our desire is to be a leader or not, there are specific skills that must be developed. Leadership styles will differ according to various personalities but main qualities must exist for excellence. Below are six key traits of successful leadership.

1. Logical Decision Maker: People look for their leader to make hard decisions. This problem solving ability will establish credibility and show character when tackling problems. Asses the situation and go with it whether it is right or wrong people will respect that.

2. Being Decisive: Leaders take charge of a situation and have an ability to act swiftly. Watch a coach when time is on the line if this trait is not important.

They must be who they are and have a certain “one of a kind” way about them, but if too cocky they will lose respect and followers.

5. Lead by example: Leaders stand up at difficult times. They expect others to do something that they are already willing to do. Many of the most famous leaders throughout history began their careers at the bottom. They worked hard for their success. Their respect is earned not given. Being tenacious is one of their most notable qualities. They have the ability after failure to analyze and make changes to start begin again. Failure is not an option.

6. Core Principle Centered Leadership: I have saved what I believe is the most important trait in a leader for last. There is no hiding this trait. One must be loyal, honest, and respectful to others in all phases of life and business. Companies themselves must also have this trait. Enron was a great example of lack of core principle centered leadership. Many books have been written in this area because it is so very important. Your principals will shine through and people will see this.

I believe leaders are not born but made. Personality helps and is what makes every leader unique. People want someone to follow. If we become leaders, then we must learn and utilize these qualities to become an exceptional leader while always learning to be even better leaders.

Network marketing can be a great way to make a living. It allows one to have tremendous freedom in their daily life as well as showing others the opportunity to take control of theirs.

1. Using marketing methods that don’t work.

Most network marketing business opportunities instruct their new members to chase down friends and family. Big mistake! This outdated marketing tactic does not work anymore. You will do harm to yourself by alienating these people in the long run. Rejection, is part of the game in any form of selling but also getting it from friends and family is twice as brutal. Your new endeavor should be enjoyable so it can continue during some hard times.

2. Product that are saturated.

Another reason 97% of network marketing opportunities fail is too many companies are selling the same products. While this will tell you it is a good market and profitable, the beining member will have a tough road ahead.

3. Too complicated commission schedule.

The main reason entrepreneurs or new members get involved in a network marketing business opportunity is to make more money. The promise of the residual income stream is very enticing but can be complicated to explain. Selling a product is hard enough. If it is more complicated to explain the opportunity, one is headed for dissapointment. If it is hard for you to explain and understand don’t get involved.

Network marketing is about duplication. If you can’t duplicate yourself and business it won’t succeed. Again, I go back to enjoyment in your new business. When the reality of one has to work for the rewards it is better to have fun than to be a chore.

4. The company one chooses.

I believe this is one area the beginning marketer often over looks when making a desicion about a new opportunity. This is where the due diligence is crucial. You do not want the company going out of business in 8 months after you have worked so hard to build your business. Understand who is running the ship.

While 97% of all network marketing business opportunities fail, 3% succeed.These 3% leaders are the ones you should look to. They have persevered in the jungle and understand what it means to succeed. We should always try to model after them. Remember it is duplication that breeds success in this business.

Learning to Earn Money at Home

Working as a corporate executive for many years, I began to not get what I wanted from my job. I didn’t know what I was going to do. I had always earned nice money. However, the time lost to my family and friends was taking its toll. I decided I would use some vacation time to find out what I really wanted to do and why.
I soon decided to get out of the rat race of going to the office 5 days a week. I was never going back to a 9 to 5 full time job in the corporate world, traveling all over the world on sales calls. Even though I was making good money, I wanted to earn money at home and I was never looking back.
I figured, in order to earn money at home I needed to learn the world of internet marketing. I worked in the software business but was not a computer expert. No wiz by any means. Knowing the basics and just a little bit dangerous using a computer, I thought was all I needed to rule the net.
I soon discovered a whole new fascinating world. What I did not realize was there was a lot to learn in this world, but I dove right in. One of the first things that I learned was the different kinds of marketing online.

Affiliate programs are where you sell other peoples products and they pay you about a 50 percent commission. Promote other people’s products and make a commission, without having to create the product yourself. That sounds easy.

Article writing is one of the best ways of advertising for free. You can promote your link in the article to your website/blog or product. Spread content all over the internet. The content stays on the internet forever. Your children will have a record of you. The more content , the more exposure you are getting and then you begin to go viral.

Forums are areas on the net where differnt interests collect and discuss. When you join these forums, you can build relationships and begin to become an expert in the field. You support each other and build trust that can be very beneficial and profitable.

Create your own blog. This becomes your persoanl hub or if you are selling products a central place where all your maketing flows. Feed the socail marketing areas like Twitter and Facebook automatically with your content keeps your exposure up.This exposure builds followers who want good information. Again, more traffic more people will see your offer.

Once you build a list you have the ticket. Your list of followers is your most important asset, as these are the people that you will promote to. So trust is key. This is where email comes in and you autoresponder service is gold. It is said you should make $1 per subscriber per month.

Learn to Earn. It is the ticket to success. Invest in some good courses on marketing and marketing psychology. Then, put your system in place, nuture and watch it grow.

My desire to earn money at home has given me a true gift which I never expected. I love this game! It is absolutely rewarding for the time freedom I have and not to mention how profitable it has become. I am always learning to earn money at home as it changes daily.

Starting the day

I wanted to write a quick note on what may ask me about how to organize my day. Now I don’t want to give you another colorful graph to prioritize your coffee break and go to the store time.

I have found the key to all the planning and programs and to do lists come to how you start your day. It is very simple. Start your day with a simple ritual that gets your mind revved and juiced and the other tasks fall into place. Lets think about it, get up angry and depressed or not excited and how difficult is it to have a fulfilling and productive day? Pretty hard to have an day filled with positive results.

This is the reason to all exercise physiologist recommend working out in the morning. It gets your metabolism and your brain firing on all cylinders. Well, that is one part of the ritual now we have to get the vision going. This is where you can use “self talk, incantations, affirmations” or what ever you would like to call them. Since this is being written during the opening of the new Harry Potter movie I will use incantations.

Before you begin your exercise routine I would start off with some deep breathing exercises to fill your body with power. This is the basis for all the Eastern philosophy. Now use use what ever you would like “I am filled with gratitude today.” I have all I need for success today.” Do this in your head and more importantly out loud! This will bring the subconscious into the mix. You don’t need to exercise for two hours just get your ritual off in the morning and I garantee you will have a more productive day.

Google “Slap” and Wordpress “Whack”

The network marketing industry is getting it from all sides recently. Google is shutting down many accounts that are targeting “opportunity sites” and slapping the owner by shutting down their accounts. It now looks like WordPress is getting into the game and “Whacking” or shutting down sites that do the same. The Wordpress “Whack” puts the Network Marketing industry in the same category as the affiliate industry. Wordpress defines network marketing as the same as affiliate marketing:

“Affiliate marketing blogs: Blogs with the primary purpose of driving traffic to affiliate programs and get-rich-quick schemes (”Make six figures from home!!”, “20 easy steps to top profits!!”, etc). This includes multi-level marketing (MLM) blogs and pyramid schemes. To be clear, people writing their own original book, movie or game reviews and linking them to Amazon, or people linking to their own products on Etsy do NOT fall into this category.”

Seems this trouble on the net is focused more on the “affiliate sites” more than the Network Marketing industry per se, but Google and Wordpress lump them both together. Very sad and
troubling for network marketers because these two business models are very different.

Ok so what do you do if you are in the Network Marketing or MLM business and you have a Wordpress Blog and don’t want to get “Whacked?”

First, you will not have to worry if you are hosting your own blog as this only pertains to the free Wordpress accounts. Consider hosting your own site.

Second, if your posts and site is heavy with company promotion and not quality content you are setting yourself up for trouble.

Third, make sure you save all your content as Wordpress comes without warning.

and Fourth, I say speak up to Google and Wordpress. These companies need to exclude and change their definitions of the Network Marketing and MLM industries from their cureent definition.
